Wrinkle Cream for the Eyes

Stumble | stumbleupon Digg | digg del.icio.us | delicious

The skin beneath your eyes is the thinnest part on that area. For this reason, you have to find a good wrinkle cream for the eyes. In your search for the best, here’s a list of what you should aim to attain.

1. The skin under your eyes lacks the moisture retention type of glands that makes it different from the skin on the rest of your face. So you have to find the one that will address such need.

2. Ask for the cream that will lessen the puffiness and lessen the eye bags and dark circles. Look for the kind that promises to make the part smoother and will diminish the unwanted lines through time.

3. You want the problem spots to be cured by tightening the skin on the area. You also want to restore your skin’s elasticity to prevent the lines from developing further.

4. The main thing that you want to aim for is to achieve youthful skin. You definitely would not want to be mistaken as 30 when you are only 20. It will be much better if it will be taken the other way around. You will indeed thank the creams that you’ve used to achieve such state when that happens. Read the rest of this entry »

Simple Beauty Tips You Can Implement Today

Staying beautiful is something that all women hope to do. There are all kinds of treatments available to help you look your best, but here are some simple steps you can take to enhance your beauty so that you look healthy, happy, and gorgeous!

1. Use sunscreen in the winter. Most people use sunscreen in the summer when the sun’s rays are most harsh, which is a good idea. However, you probably tend to avoid using sunscreen when you go out in the winter. Therefore, it is easier for you to be exposed to damaging ultraviolet rays. If you want to protect your skin year round, make sure you use sunscreen in the winter months if you are going to be outdoors for any period of time.

2. Use vitamin C to combat wrinkles and dryness. If you have dry skin, you will find relief by taking a vitamin C supplement, or by simply eating more foods that contain this vitamin. Some foods with vitamin C include broccoli, oranges, lemons, bell peppers and potatoes. Vitamin C is also excellent for keeping your immunity up, so this is a great vitamin for you all around.

3. Start ingesting more omega-3 fatty acids. These acids are important because your body cannot create them; you need to get them from an outside source. These acids are important for the function of the brain, and they also help you maintain collagen levels so that you don’t seem to age as much. These acids can be ingested in pill or liquid form, or you can simply increase your intake of sardines, salmon, tuna and trout–all these fish contain the acids naturally. You might also feel a little “lighter”; these acids are said to alleviate symptoms of depression too.

4. Get enough rest. This is something that is often overlooked. You probably know you need more sleep, but you don’t know where you will find the time. However, it is important that you make a serious effort to get the proper amount of sleep. Sleep is when your body restores and repairs itself; it’s also when the body burns the most fat. If you don’t get enough sleep, you are at risk for any number of physical and mental health issues, so make it a priority. “Beauty sleep” is not a myth!

5. Eat foods rich in lycopene. Lycopene is a substance found in carrots and tomatoes, and enhances the smoothness of your skin. If you want to have soft, supple skin, lycopene is something you want to think about.

6. Drink green tea. Unlike most teas, green tea hydrates your body and has strong anti-oxidant properties. That means that it protects your body from inflammation and free radicals that can damage your skin and contribute to illness.

You are only as beautiful as you feel, that much is true. However, you can still use the tips in this article to help you look happy and healthy. The right information can help you preserve your beauty, so always be on the lookout for new ways to keep yourself looking beautiful.

Haircut for Your Unique Face Shape

Stumble | stumbleupon Digg | digg del.icio.us | delicious

Seasonal trendy hairstyles are funky, stylish and sometimes even asymmetrical. But not everyone has the right face shape for the latest hair fashions. If your haircut does not play up your face shape, you may feel uncomfortable or lack confidence. Unfortunately, out of habit, many of us resort to the same style without worrying about whether or not it fits our face. Why play it safe? Everyone looks better when they have a hairstyle that is geared towards their specific face shape. Pointed chin, broad forehead, square cheeks — it doesn’t matter; these are features that help determine the proportions of your face and which hairstyle will make you look great. Everyone, regardless of their face shape, can find the perfect hairstyle.

Determine your face shape. Sit down in front of a mirror and tie your hair back. Focus on your hairline and jawline. It is important to estimate the width of your face relative to your jaw line. This shows your face shape. The distance between your eyes, and the distance between the outer corners of your eyes and your hairline, at your temples, gives additional clues to the type of face shape you have.

Pick your shape. There are generally five face shapes: heart-shaped, rectangular, round, oblong and oval. There are always exceptions as well; those which can not be clearly categorized in only one of the five categories. But regardless, each woman can find a suitable hairstyle for her face shape, to emphasize positive attributes such as high cheekbones, a delicate nose or a cute, pointed chin.

Heart and rectangular faces are similar. For the heart-shaped face, the broad forehead, a narrow chin line and the prominent, pointed chin define this shape. It is best for this type of shape to have hairstyles with end or side bangs, and blunt-cut hair that ends just below the chin. In addition, curls or waves can help narrow parts of the face look wider. Even cuts that camouflage the forehead a little are suitable. Also ideal are short haircuts like a bob, which extends to just below the chin. Generally speaking, volume and semi-long hair styles with full bangs are best for a heart-shaped face.

Soften angles with contoured cuts. For a square face, layers or fringes are great, and look good falling around the face. Volume at the crown compensates for a face that appears too wide. The width of the forehead and jaw line are crucial to determining if your face looks more rectangular or square. Rectangular faces look great with curly styles, to add more body to the sides. A side pony-tail or slight inward waves formed around the chin help the contours of the face appear softer. Basically, the more square and wide your face, the longer your hair should be.

Full cheeks and soft edges along the jaw line and forehead area are the features of a round face. Optimally, this face shape looks good with at least shoulder-length hair that falls around the sides of the face and helps elongate it. A layered section with lots of volume on top and less volume on the sides makes the face look longer. Particularly suitable for this face shape are asymmetrical cuts. Stay away from extremely short haircuts if you want to downplay a round face shape.

Anyone who has a longer face can wear medium-length cuts fairly well. A long, straight pony-tail can also visually shorten the face. Layered cuts make the overall look softer. If you want a bit more fullness in your face, go for volume with soft waves or a bob. Even a classic ponytail is great for women with long faces, but experiment with wearing your ponytail high on your head, at mid-level and lower to see which position looks the best with your face.

Finally, if you have an oval face shape, with slightly wider cheekbones and a narrow forehead and jaw line, count yourself lucky because you can look great in just about any haircut!

Selecting the right hairstyle may seem overwhelming, with all the styles to choose from. Use your face shape as your starting point, and ask your stylist to help you find the style that makes the most of your facial assets so that you can look your best, all the time!

You should use a heavier lotion in the evening on your body, preferably one that contains vitamin E and a nighttime lotion for your face. You should also invest in a good humidifier to raise the moisture in the air as you sleep.

You should be careful to use scarves and other coverings that protect your face from the damaging effects of the dry wind.

When you take your thrice weekly showers you should heavily condition your hair. The dry air in the winter months leaves your hair susceptible to breakage and a dull lifeless look. Once a month you should invest in a heavy treatment like hot oil to keep your hair soft and healthy looking.

Vitamins are important to maintaining overall skin health in the winter. Vitamin E, for instance, is helpful in protecting the fatty tissue area. This helps keep your skin soft and radiant looking during the dry weather of the winter. Vitamin E can be taken orally or applied topically. Vitamin D is something we usually gain from exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D helps us to maintain a regular mood and lack of this vitamin contributor to seasonal affective disorder which can cause depression.
